St. Luke is a mid-sized Catholic parish located on the north west side of Phoenix, Arizona. We are within 30 minutes from downtown Phoenix and the airport.
Some of us have been here for 30 years and remember the desert landscape right in their backyards – now taken up by newer developments. Some of us have just moved into the neighborhood as the housing market here suddenly opened up to young families.
Very few of St. Luke’s parishioners grew up in Arizona. Most American-born parishioners come from the Midwest and appreciate our warm winters. Many congregants contribute to a multicultural flavor of St. Luke as they come from Ecuador, India, Italy, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, and Vietnam. It is so inspiring to see how people from so many different places can get together and create a community that follows the motto:
Under God’s guidance, we create life-giving spaces where HE can work by providing our diverse community a place for spiritual growth.
Maybe you are only stopping by on your way to the Grand Canyon, maybe you come down to us every winter, or maybe you just moved in: Welcome, join us in prayer, fellowship and action.
