Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
An extraordinary minister of Holy Communion in the Catholic Church is, under the Code of Canon Law, "an acolyte, or another of Christ's faithful deputed", in certain circumstances, to distribute Holy Communion.
Requirements
1. Active contributing members in parish for one year.
2. Sacramental reception: Must have received the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation in the Roman Catholic Church. If married must be in the Roman Catholic Church.
3. Will Undergo Training (Details vary)
4. Must be Safe Environment (SET) compliant.

Lectors
The lector proclaims the Scripture readings used in the Liturgy of the Word from the official, liturgical book . The Roman Catholic Church has a rite by which it formally institutes men who may or may not be studying for the priesthood and diaconate as lectors (Canon Law 230.1).

Hospitality Minister
Our Mission - To take up St. Paul’s instruction to the Romans: “Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you” (Rom 15:7).
A Hospitality Minister is someone who:
A Hospitality Minister is someone who:
- Gets to church 10 minutes early and stays 10 minutes after.
- Takes up the collections and secures it in the safe.
- Offers assistance in seating if needed.
- Cheerfully greets the people coming to Mass with a smile!
- “Welcome to St.Luke” “Glad to see you” or just “Hello”
- Hands out the Bulletin and says goodbye after Mass.
Altar Servers
An altar server is a lay assistant to a member of the clergy during a Christian liturgy. An altar server attends to supporting tasks at the altar such as fetching and carrying, ringing the altar bell, among other things. A young male altar server is commonly called an altar boy, whereas a young female altar server is commonly called an altar girl.

Craft Group - Meets every Wednesday in the Parish Hall from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Legion of Mary - We are an active prayer group that meets weekly at St Luke to say the rosary and to help in our parish and community. Our group has been active since February of 2016 and we are working on growing our group of prayer and Catholic outreach now. If you are looking for a way to actively live out your faith , please come sit in on one of our meetings and hear about all we do in our parish and community . We are holding our meetings on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm in St. Joachim room, meetings last an hour.
