My name is Barbara Trent. I am actively involved in our parish: I love the rosary and join others after the 9 am Mass on Fridays. I participate with a small faith community on Thursdays after the 9 am Mass where we read, learn and share the three readings for the upcoming Sunday's mass. My retirement time allows me to be involved in my parish as Eucharistic Minister, Office Attendant 4th Saturday, Office Assistant 4th Sunday and Safe Environment Trainer.
Participation in the Woman's Guild, the Book Club, PAL, Spring Fling & Octoberfest have helped me to know many of my communities members.
As a participant in Ordinary Holiness Sessions, Woman's Discernment classes, Bible Studies, the Parish Council and the Hospital Ministry in conjunction with St James Parish have helped me to know and appreciate my faith in a new way.
My return to St Luke's parish four years ago has been a great growth period for me. My faith has become more real, my knowledge and love for reading the Bible has helped me to know my way in a new experiential way. I am blessed to be here in a small community of believers who welcomed me.
St Luke's seems to have a wealth of Super Catholics who share their spirituality generously. I am guided by Father Pawel, Harold Jeffords, Freddie Blish and Cindy Daniels.
My favorite Scripture passage is Psalm 23.
