Did you know….Fr. Pawel’s Birthday is November 9th! 

Did you know….that I always have amazing conversations with our parishioners at our   Oktoberfest's.  Somehow the twinkling and twirling of lights, the clanging and whooshing of the machinery and the squealing and yelping of kids creates a contusive environment to share your deepest thoughts with your pastor...who knew.

Did you know….that in our 35 years doing Oktoberfest, we have raised almost $840,000!  This year we had record breaking attendance and presold 1,279 discount ride tickets, with over 1/2 of them sold in 2 days!

Did you know….we are planning on having a fiesta on the 31st for children as an alternative to the pegan Halloween sponsored Las Servidores de la Palabra at 6pm in the Parish Hall.  Children will come dressed as their favorite saint.

​Did you know….I just got back from the meeting of all Priests of the Diocese of Phoenix with Bishop Dolan.  It was a powerful reminder that there are many other churches like ours where people encounter Jesus, cry, get healed etc. and yet each community is so different.

​Did you know….Mass Intentions date back to the early church and is part of our Cannon Code of Law.  “In accord with the approved practice of the Church, any priest celebrating or concelebrating is permitted to receive an    offering to apply the Mass for a specific intention” (Can. 945 §1).    Raquel Rodriguez, Parish Manager
 

Did you know….OCIA is the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults aka...the program where adults prepare to receive Sacraments.  We have over 20 in the program that will be blessed at the Easter Vigil this year!

Did you know….We have a free English class.  Adult students are motivated. Volunteer teachers work with 1-3 persons at a time. It is charity to those who want to be helped. One word at a time.

Did you know….we start working on booking vendors and planning for Oktoberfest months in advance.  It is the ONLY fundraiser the parish holds and this year will be our 35th year hosting!

Did you know….we're celebrating First Communion & Confirmation on Saturday 8/24! Three years of (1) learning and praying for our kids and teens (2) attending (bi-)monthly groups for parents, (3) preparing and teaching for our RE teachers.
